UK naval chief visits NHQ |

The First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff of UK Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope, KCB OBE ADC, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Navy on Monday visited Naval Headquarters here.
On arrival, he was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him the Guard of Honour. He took the salute and reviewed the honour guard. Admiral Noman Bashir introduced the visiting dignitary to principal staff officers at the Naval Headquarters.
Later, Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope called on chief of the naval staff in his office. During the meeting various aspects relating to further promotion of existing ties between the two Navies came up for discussion. The admiral also attended a briefing on the present regional maritime scenario vis-a-vis Pakistan Navy’s role. |
