Students hold cultural show |

Rawalpindi: Highlighting the cultural aspects and the role of women in society, a cultural show was presented here Monday by the students of Gender Studies, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) at the University premises.
The show was organised as part of the final project of the course ‘Women’s Contribution in Tangible & Intangible Arts’ in which the students beautifully presented the stories of Heer Ranjah, Sohni Mahiwal, Durkhani & Adam, and the Punchait System, alongside culture of the four provinces in the form of folk tales.
Dr Rukhsana Hassan, Incharge Department of Gender Studies, and Fareena Iqbal of Quality Enhancement Cell were among the judges to evaluate the performance of the students. They appreciated the students as well as their Instructor Ms Adeela Rehman’s efforts and encouraged them to organise such activities in future as well.
Vice Chancellor FJWU Prof Dr Saeeda Asadullah Khan and Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences Prof Dr Samina Amin Qadir appreciated the students’ hard work and enthusiasm for organising a unique and colourful cultural show.
