Drivers of 435 PSVs challaned |

The drivers of 435 public service vehicles (PSVs) were challaned during the last one week on the charges of non-completion of routes, overcharging and plying vehicles without route permits.
Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) Secretary Asia Gul conducted traffic checking between Sector G-9 bus stop and PIMS bus stop and challaned drivers of 435 vehicles. Fines of Rs87,000 were also imposed on them.
Asia Gul warned the drivers of PSVs to complete their documents within 10 days. She said that the drivers of more than 100 taxis have also been challaned for plying vehicles without route permits.
Meanwhile, the ICT administration has imposed fines of Rs31,000 on 60 shopkeepers during surprise price checking in different markets during last 15 days. During checking of rates of food items in different localities, the magistrates imposed fines on shopkeepers for overcharging and not displaying rate lists. |
